Wilma's Puppy Love

I have a new stamp that I just had to try out. I actually made two cards both using the Magnolia "Wilma with a rose" stamp. I LOVE this little puppy. It was a challenge to shade her coat, but I think I got better with practice. I realize now that I didn't do much highlighting though. . . oh well, next time.

Materials used:
DP - GCD Studios
Prima Flowers colored with BG72 & E35
Stickles - Crystal
Momento Rich Cocoa ink for distressing
Copics: BG10, BG72, BG75, E35, E42,

Tilda Blowing Hearts

I love using stickles to add sparkle.
Finally, I have had some extra time (didn't do laundry - hehe) to do some crafting.  I purchased some new valentine papers and have been chomping at the bit to use them. This is the first valentine card of several that I intend to make. I sure had fun with this one and yes, I finally remembered to keep track of what I was using.

Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone.  Here it is Sunday evening (I should be in bed) and I'm posting a Birthday Card I just finished. I tried to go for a little more casual look with this card. I used the Friday Sketchers Sketch #135 which you can find here.   7 Kids College Fund is sponsoring this challenge and offering a $20 gift voucher!!
This is a summer 2008 "Tilda Picks Flowers" stamp. I still need more practice on my shading with my copic markers, but I'm up to the challenge (hehe). You can't see it in these photos, but I did smooch (love it) the Tilda wings, the flowers she is holding, and all the round circles in the center pattern. I like to have a little bling on all my cards. Well, I better be off to bed or I'll never make it to work tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by to see my progress.

Romantic Tilda with Curls

Hi everyone. I have enjoyed the start of this new year with lots of crafting time. Alas, Monday I will have to return to work and will be back to weekends only in which to craft. I guess there has to be balance in my life.
Today I put together another card using Romantic Tilda with Curls from the 2010 Wedding collection. I created this card for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Recipe Challenge. The recipe consists of:  4 flowers, 3 types of patterned paper, 2 magnolia images (includes accessory, etc), and 1 ribbon (I used a looong ribbon). I hope that my ribbon does not disqualify my card. I really enjoyed the challenge and had fun putting this card together. I plan on using this card as a Thank You for the family of one of my students. They gave me such a nice surprise for Christmas that they really do deserve a home designed card. I hope they like it.

Thank you for taking time to look. : )

"Thank You" in Pink

Hi everyone. I've been busy today working on my "Thank You" cards. This is one that I particularly like. I used the "Tilda with Peony" stamp and colored her with Copic markers. You gotta love those copics. To go with the sparkle in the background DP, I used smooch on Tilda's dress and the peony she is holding. Then of course I had to color the corner flower embellishments and smooch them to match. I really had fun working on this card. I will get better on listing the specific materials used in my cards as I continue with card making (one of my New Year's resolutions).    Happy New Year !!

Vintage Blue Roses

I thought this little Magnolia Tilda would be a perfect topper for the vintage looking blue rose paper. I really liked the colors used in the paper and copied them with my Copic markers on Tilda and her flowers. I especially enjoyed following the sketch by Lisa on the "Cute Card Challenge # 144". You can see the sketch and challenge information here.  Here is my entry, enjoy.
